CentriLogic has acquired Advanced Knowledge Networks (AKN), a leading provider of managed IT infrastructure solutions including hosting, cloud, and private Wide Area Network services. The deal enhances CentriLogic’s service capabilities and will provide the company with broader market access across Canada, leveraging AKN’s national infrastructure and network footprint. CentriLogic owns and operates 10 interconnected data centers throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, and recently achieved five-year revenue growth of 1,005%.
For the last decade, AKN has successfully delivered a wide range of managed IT solutions to mid-market and large enterprises in Canada, including nationally recognizable brands such as Bayshore HealthCare, Harry Rosen, Leon’s Furniture, and Longo Brothers Fruit Markets.  Since being founded in 2000, AKN has achieved profitable and consistent year-over-year revenue growth and has extended its footprint Canada-wide with locations in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Halifax.
Bringing the two companies together creates a complete and secure end-to-end infrastructure solution comprised of managed, cloud and co-location hosting, private network connectivity, and a comprehensive portfolio of supplementary managed services: a one-stop shop for all IT outsourcing requirements. AKN’s mid-market and large enterprise customers will benefit from CentriLogic’s full spectrum of adaptable and compliant hosting services and in turn, CentriLogic’s Canadian customer base will be able to take advantage of AKN’s suite of secure managed infrastructure and network services.
“We believe that our two companies combined will serve Canadian and International organizations through delivering a wide variety of adaptable offerings for IT infrastructure management, while enabling CentriLogic to immediately extend our Canadian presence from Ontario to nationwide,” says Robert Offley, President & CEO of CentriLogic.
AKN’s employees will be integrated immediately into CentriLogic.
“CentriLogic has been our primary data center facilities partner for several years and we have been successfully deploying customer implementations together since 2012, so we anticipate immediate synergies and a seamless transition for customers and staff” says Monica Rok, President of AKN.  “Our companies share a similar culture and commitment to client care, and we look forward to bringing CentriLogic’s services and solutions to our growing customer base.”
“Building on the September opening of its 28,000 square foot enterprise-grade facility in Ontario, we believe this acquisition is another key step in CentriLogic’s ability to become a leading independent provider of end-to-end IT outsourcing solutions in Canada,” says Mark Schrutt, Research Vice-President, Services and Enterprise Applications at IDC Canada. “Combined service capabilities will accelerate CentriLogic up the managed services stack, and the synergies derived from the acquisition will enable CentriLogic to extend well into the Canadian mid and large-sized enterprise market.”
