8x8 boosts French CX with new data centre, championing local growth

8x8, Inc. expands its CX platform in France, reinforcing data sovereignty and strategic growth, with a new local data centre.

To enhance its customer experience services in France, 8x8, Inc. has inaugurated a state-of-the-art data centre in the country. This strategic move supports France’s strict data sovereignty and residency standards, emphasising both trust and transparency.

Beyond serving existing client demands, this development underscores 8x8’s long-term commitment to France, not just recognising it as a broad customer base but as an essential growth market. Additionally, this investment enables both enterprises and public sector entities to adopt advanced, AI-driven communication tools whilst adhering to French and EU legislative mandates including GDPR and local hosting requirements.

The announcement follows a year of significant advancements for 8x8 in France. Key milestones include the appointment of Christian Laloy as the country's lead, an intensified collaboration with SCC, specialists in IT transformation, and a partnership with the French Association Française de la Relation Client (AFRC).

Christian Laloy, Country Manager at 8x8, reiterated the company's commitment: “While others choose to operate remotely, we’re investing locally.” Such dedication fortifies 8x8's position as a trusted provider of secure, compliant technology to French enterprises.

This new facility forms part of 8x8’s overarching strategy to support industries focused on compliance and security. It provides invaluable in-country data storage solutions and ultra-reliable access. Regis Davesne, from SCC France, reflected on its impact: “This decision significantly boosts confidence and makes a real difference for customers.”

This effort is one of many European projects scheduled for 2025, as 8x8 aims to bolster its footing in markets prioritizing growth and regulatory diligence.
