Johnson Controls is introducing a travelling Innovation Studio, which will be used to engage customers and stakeholders across Europe. The studio will make its first appearance at the 2026 edition of MCE – Mostra Convegno Expocomfort in Milan.
The initiative focuses on themes such as affordability, energy security, and climate-related outcomes. It is intended to present technology solutions and gather feedback from a range of stakeholders, including customers, partners, and students. Following its launch, the Innovation Studio is scheduled to visit 44 cities across Europe.
The mobile exhibition is designed to demonstrate applications of technologies used in sectors such as energy infrastructure and renewable integration. It showcases systems aimed at improving operational efficiency and supporting sustainability objectives across different types of facilities.
Among the equipment featured are the YORK YK-HT two-stage economised centrifugal chiller, intended for large campuses and data centres, and the YORK YVAM air-cooled magnetic bearing chiller, which is used in a range of operating conditions with a focus on efficiency.
The portfolio also includes OpenBlue and the Metasys. These systems are used to integrate building operations and support energy management and compliance with relevant EU regulatory frameworks.
The Innovation Studio experience includes demonstrations of building use cases, 3D visualisations of products, and workshops illustrating how the technologies can be applied in different environments. These environments include areas such as laboratories, restaurants, and other commercial or technical facilities. The company’s European manufacturing and product range, including heat pumps and cooling systems, is also presented within this context.
In addition, the company highlights its involvement in infrastructure projects across Europe, including data centres and manufacturing sites, as well as service operations operating in multiple EU countries.
Overall, the Innovation Studio is positioned as a mobile demonstration platform for building technology and energy management systems, with a focus on showcasing existing solutions and their applications across different sectors and regions in Europe.
