“Splunk software is an important underlying analytics component of our venue technology platform at Levi’s Stadium. The Levi’s Stadium operational team is informed with real-time insights, which helps them make event day decisions that deliver a transformative in-stadium experience,” said Ronak Bhatt, vice president, data products and customer enablement, VenueNext. “Using Splunk software, data from the Levi’s Stadium app usage gives the business operations team nearly 100 percent operational visibility, which positively impacts stadium revenue.”

Splunk Enterprise performs real-time business analytics on the data coming from VenueNext’s unique platform that ties together isolated venue systems. The VenueNext platform connects location services, ticketing, points of sale and concessionaire services to help venue operators make real-time, data-driven decisions, and then seamlessly surface these through a context-aware mobile app which helps improve guest experiences and venue business outcomes. Splunk’s insights help the Levi’s business operations team direct venue resources based on demand in order to optimise the fan experience.

Using the Levi’s Stadium mobile app, stadium operational staff can more precisely direct resources based on supply and demand. For example, re-routing concession stand mapping in the app based on demand dynamics, redirecting staff to other parts of the stadium, and removing menu items from the app as they run out, so fans do not order and get disappointed. As a result of this type of operational visibility, Levi’s Stadium reports that it has decreased waste, boosted operational efficiencies and improved its bottom line — all while greatly enhancing the guest experience.

“Splunk is proud to be the analytics backbone for such powerful integrated technology platforms. We look forward to working with VenueNext as the company continues to transform guest experiences at venues all around the world,” said Snehal Antani, chief technology officer, Splunk. “To succeed in a digital world, stadiums must create VIP-like guest experiences that continue to keep fans coming back time after time. VenueNext proves powerful analytics make all the difference.”
