V1 extends cloud hosted services offering to document management and core business applications

V1 announces the extension of V1 Cloud Hosting, its hosted cloud service offering.

V1 Cloud Hosting reduces the financial burden associated with large up-front IT infrastructure costs by eliminating the need to invest in hardware, software applications, system upgrades, security tools and back-up facilities. In addition, businesses no longer need to rely on their own internal IT expertise to maintain such infrastructure.

V1 Cloud Hosting’s services provide businesses with a flexible, scalable and cost effective way to deploy document management solutions to maximise process efficiencies. V1 can also host organisations’ own existing business applications. Cloud-based solutions are hosted on dedicated, powerful servers in a highly secure UK data centre, ensuring sensitive business data is protected from threats posed by viruses and hackers or from accidental loss.

The 2014 Gartner Financial Executives International CFO Technology study, published in June 2014, revealed that cloud use and projections doubled from 2013 for many finance-focused applications. Gartner’s latest research also reveals that 81 per cent of organisations forecast a move to the cloud for more than 50 per cent of their future transactions.

Janette Martin, Managing Director of V1 Ltd, says, “As organisations increasingly explore flexible hosted options we are pleased to extend our hosted offering to help them retain greater control and flexibility over their IT budgets and maximise their return on investment.

“V1 Cloud Hosting also ensures that V1 customers can take advantage of the latest technology enhancements to our scalable document management solutions in just days rather than months, helping them to increase efficiencies and their competitive advantage.”

V1’s hosted document management solutions provide improved efficiency and productivity by enabling authorised users to securely archive, retrieve and authorise business critical documents from any location to make better use of valuable workflow processes.

V1’s cloud-based suite of business automation solutions also includes automated professional services, project accounting and learning and training management software.
