London clinic gets the Cloud treatment

London Claremont , the private outpatients clinic, has selected Fifosys to help streamline its IT infrastructure and drive IT efficiencies throughout the business. Fifosys will act as an IT partner to London Claremont by supplying them with a fully managed IT infrastructure, including email, patient healthcare management system and data management, all within its secure cloud environment. London Claremont will also have a small amount of on premise IT, in the form of three servers. The servers will run the medical devices throughout the clinic, the data from which will then be replicated to the Fifosys private cloud.

London Claremont Clinic is a newly launched private outpatients clinic offering specialist care for a variety of medical specialties including Diabetes, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Lipid disorders, Ophthalmology, Rheumatology, Osteoporosis, Dermatology, Oncology, HIV and Sexual Health, Psychiatry and Allergy. The clinic also provides diagnostic and screening, treatment of disease as well as surgical procedures within above mentioned specialties.

Lana Kopanja, CEO, London Claremont, comments, “I have worked with Fifosys on previous projects and as an IT partner the company offers sound advice, expert knowledge and ultimate value to the business. With this in mind it made perfect sense to select Fifosys to work on this project. We needed an IT infrastructure that was flexible, secure and effective and I was confident that Fifosys could provide that.”

London Claremont Clinic has 50 world renowned Consultants working within the clinic; most of whom also work in the NHS teaching hospital with sessions at the London Claremont Clinic on a weekly basis. They use consultation rooms within the clinic and will need access to certain aspects of the IT when they are on site. Fifosys’ cloud environment makes this very easy to manage and the London Claremont staff can easily access the resources they need; whether that be on a permanent or temporary basis.

Miss Kopanja continues, “The whole infrastructure is based around our needs as an organisation and Fifosys was more than willing to accommodate what was best for us as a business. I needed all the consultants to be able to access anything from anywhere and Fifosys made this very simple for us.”

The IT infrastructure will provide London Claremont with all aspects of IT from email to its core patient healthcare management system and will also help to manage three servers on site that will link up to the medical devices in the clinic. The data collected from these medical devices can then be stored and accessed from within the cloud environment, making the management of data throughout the clinic a lot simpler. The published desktop delivered to staff accommodates the various business specific applications that Claremont requires.

Furthermore, Fifosys will provide continuous support through its Service Desk for any IT issue including any third party problems relating to technology infrastructure.
Miss Kopanja concludes, “I am really looking forward to getting the relationship with Fifosys up and running. I know from previous experience that they are an innovative and efficient team of people and I know that not only the IT, but the business on the whole will benefit from this.”
