Phoenix confirmed as G-Cloud IV supplier

Public sector organisations supported with IaaS, PasS, SaaS and specialist Cloud services.

Phoenix, a leading provider of hosting, cloud, managed services and business continuity, has been confirmed as a supplier to G-Cloud IV, the Government’s procurement framework for Cloud computing services.

G-Cloud IV is the latest iteration of the government’s Cloudstore and as an existing supplier, Phoenix continues to offer a portfolio of products and services covering Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, Software as a Service, and Specialist Cloud services. Phoenix has also added new products including Shadow Planner, SaaS.

Mark Whelan, Head of Service Integration for Phoenix commented: “We have always been a firm believer in the G-Cloud framework. Since its creation it has given government departments and agencies a platform to embrace a flexible range of technologies, which supports the government adoption of cloud products and services.

“As a result of this we are starting to see some real traction. Recently, total sales hit £53.5m through Central Government (64%) and the wider Public Sector (36%) – it’s important that this momentum continues.”

Mark continues: “The figures evidence that more and more public sector organisations are exploring and exploiting the benefit of offerings via the G-Cloud framework – in doing so, they gain access to the newest and most innovative cloud services as well as established commodity services. The simplified process makes it easier for suppliers to provide these services, which in turn gives public sector organisations far greater choice and value.
“At Phoenix we will use our presence on the framework to demonstrate our experience and strength, by providing the public sector with access to an array of cloud services and consultancy,” Mark concluded.
