Fujitsu delivers ‘Bring Your Own Cloud’

Fujitsu introduces FUJITSU Cloud Integration Platform to provide CIOs with a comprehensive platform enabling the successful adoption and management of cloud within their enterprise.

Fujitsu introduces the next generation of ‘market-making’ cloud platform service, enabling Chief Information Officers (CIOs) to harness the broad potential of cloud with the complete business agility and innovation that cloud delivers. The FUJITSU Cloud Integration Platform – for which pre-release testing is now available for early adopter clients – delivers everything required to integrate, aggregate and manage all cloud services and traditional ICT from a ‘single pane of glass’ to ensure all data is protected, identity is assured and services are governed.

Business leaders continue to enthusiastically adopt cloud services that deliver competitive advantage. The challenge for CIOs is how to manage and ensure appropriate governance and control across an increasingly diverse portfolio of cloud services without adding management overhead or being seen as blocking progress. Over the next three years, Fujitsu predicts organisations will introduce more than 30 cloud services from multiple providers into their existing ICT landscape. CIOs need tools to manage this growing complexity.

Based on its ICT heritage and international presence, Fujitsu recognises that cloud is intrinsically complex – one size does not fit all – and so it offers business leaders and CIOs the choice and integration services that they are requesting. The company’s approach combines the FUJITSU Cloud Integration Platform with consulting expertise and managed services to enable organisations to choose the right cloud options for them. Enterprises around the world put their trust in Fujitsu as an expert partner, capable of helping them to integrate multiple cloud environments with their traditional systems to deliver seamless service for their customers and users.

Now with the FUJITSU Cloud Integration Platform, CIOs can become cloud enablers. They can offer their businesses a choice of cloud services to adopt a ‘Bring Your Own Cloud’ approach, alongside in-house, non-cloud systems. All can now uniquely be integrated, aggregated and managed with consistent tools that deliver access control, provisioning, system monitoring, end-to-end service management and data protection: all through a single portal experience.

In contrast to other limited alternatives currently available, this platform can span traditional systems, private cloud, or public cloud; whether they are delivering Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) or Software as a Service (SaaS). Clients additionally have the option of deploying the platform on- or off-premise and managing the platform themselves, or having it delivered as a managed service.
To achieve this, the FUJITSU Cloud Integration Platform includes:
· Provisioning – simplifies and centralises the provisioning of cloud resources: infrastructure, platforms and software. Private and Public Cloud resources, both Fujitsu and third-party.
· Integration – rapid deployment of integrated solutions; integrating processes, services, data and systems. Integrating public cloud software services with on-premise enterprise systems and with new cloud-based systems to deliver support for new or improved business processes or customer interactions.
· Service Management – end-to-end service management of integrated solutions. Monitoring and managing solutions utilising a range of on-premise and cloud resources.
· Access Control – providing unified control to manage who has access to ICT systems wherever they are located, including biometric mobile authentication services.
· Data Management – providing data management for cloud and non-cloud solutions, protecting all information regardless of location or provider.
The company is now delivering against its FUJITSU Cloud Initiative global strategy, launched in the summer of 2013. Today’s introduction of FUJITSU Cloud Integration Platform provides a market-making platform as part of the broadest roadmap in the industry of all the elements businesses need to integrate and manage cloud systems, processes and data with their existing and future environments.
