Frankfurt is the place to be next week when the doors open on the Powering the Cloud conferences and exhibitions. This is one of the most comprehensive sources of cloud and datacentre information to be gathered in one place, Congress Frankfurt, on 29thand 30thOctober.

There are three co-located conferences - SNW Europe, Datacenter Technologies and Virtualization World. SNW Europe, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary in Frankfurt, is the largest fully-independent conference where IT managers and professionals can attend SNIA-endorsed education tracks, get hands-on access to a wide range of solutions demonstrations, and mix with industry peers and technology experts who face similar IT storage and data management issues every day.

Virtualization World takes a focused look at the continuing development of IT virtualisation standards and solutions and in particular the emergence of Cloud computing services. The conference and exhibition offer IT professionals a platform to learn and develop their knowledge of these key technologies.

Datacenter Technologies addresses the technology standards and solutions that are key to the development and deployment of an effective 21st century datacentre.

One of the biggest draws of the events will be the inspirational keynote presentations being made by high-profile corporate executives in the storage and virtualisation markets on the issues which are most challenging to today’s organisations.

These include Chris Johnson, VP Storage EMEA at HP, who will share his thoughts on the emerging hybrid IT world, and Shaun Walsh, Senior VP of Marketing and Corporate Development at Emulex, who will present on The Great IT Migration. Other keynote speakers include executives from DE-CIX, Dell, EVault and Oracle.

There will also be many expert and analyst-led Spotlight Sessions, which address the factors that most affect organisations’ IT strategies and needs. The conferences this year will address five of the most important challenges pertinent to today’s CIOs and IT managers; Big Data, security, IT management, datacentre architecture and application delivery.

Further hot topic sessions designed to keep delegates up to speed with current debate and discussion will focus on open source, cloud, solid state, software defined ‘X’ and emerging technologies.

According to John Chapman, content director at the Powering the Cloud Events, this years marks special anniversaries of these events. “We have worked especially hard to broaden the coverage of the conference content to create three all-encompassing events which truly resonate with resellers, vendors and users as well as influencers. The Powering the Cloud 2013 conferences are designed to get into the real issues facing today’s IT executives and to educate, facilitate dialogue and provide an insight from the leading industry experts into the possibilities, both now and into the future.”

IT end users and channel partners can register for free using promo code W2M13 here, and further information is available for SNW Europe, Virtualisation World, and Datacenter Technologies.
