Cobweb Solutions strengthens marketing leadership team

Cobweb Solutions has announced the promotion of Sara Boyes to Marketing Team Leader. Sara, who joined the Hampshire-based company in 2008, takes up her new position from her previous role as Marketing Communications Executive for the company. She will be responsible for managing the marketing team and helping to develop and implement Cobweb’s ongoing marketing strategy.

Cobweb is the biggest independent Hosted Exchange provider in Europe, delivering a wide range of hosted communication tools to more than 5,000 business customers, ranging from start-ups to household names such as Innocent, Reading Football Club and the Lawn Tennis Association.

Sara says of her new role: “I look forward to further supporting the growth of the company and helping to consolidate its industry-leading position. This is an exciting time for Cobweb – businesses are increasingly looking at outsourcing their IT contracts to cloud-hosted services. It allows them to access the latest technology at scalable cost and divert resources to other parts of their business.”

The industry-wide shift towards using hosted services was reflected by a 50% growth for Cobweb in 2011 and a soar in its business in 2012 from 10,000 hosted business mailboxes to over 100,000, while other UK providers are averaging at around 20,000. Cobweb was also named Partner of the Year by security giant, Symantec, last year.

Mark Davies says, “Sara brings extensive knowledge of Cobweb’s products and services to her new position. She has been instrumental in helping the company move forward during the past five years and her new responsibilities will allow her to contribute even more significantly to Cobweb’s continuing success.”
