Calligo enables moving to the Cloud for ‘free’

Provides Cloud Services up to the value of £6,000 for organisations with fewer than 10 employees.

Calligo, the Channel Islands’ most technically advanced and comprehensive cloud service provider, has announced their Cloud StarterPak to enable smaller organisations to reap the benefits of the cloud, free of charge for up to 12 months.

For many organisations business efficiency is a key factor to their on-going success and IT will continue to be the principal enabler in achieving this. Cloud computing is now established as a reliable, secure and highly efficient service model that’s capable of improving the levels of efficiency for any organisation, irrelevant of their industry sector or size.

“Calligo want to demonstrate the value and power of moving to the cloud and, to encourage smaller businesses to take advantage of the benefits cloud computing brings to organisations, we are providing a set of services up to the value of £6,000 completely free of charge,” commented Julian Box, CEO, Calligo. “By providing these services, Calligo is further demonstrating our leadership in the offshore cloud services market.”

Cloud StarterPak consists of a 12-month service that includes up to:
• 5 x Windows 7 desktops with LibreOffice 4.0
• 5 x User mailboxes with anti-virus, anti-spam and full mobile device support (iPhone, Android)
• 3 x Additional mailboxes for admin, helpdesk/support etc.
• 1 x Webserver for hosting static websites (up to 1Mb of bandwidth)
• 5 x 5GB of User Shared Storage via CloudBox
• Up to 7 hours of a cloud engineer’s time to implement

The first customer has already signed up for their free service. Comsure is a Jersey-based business providing consultancy services to help organisations identify and manage risk. Their consultants work both from the office and are often mobile, therefore, a reliable, consistent and easy to access computing desktop is critical for the business.

“Having used a number of other hosted systems, I quickly saw the benefits of a true cloud offering,” stated Mathew Beale, Managing Director, Comsure. “As well as the simplicity of accessing Calligo CloudDesk from any PC, I was very keen for my staff to have the ability to access email and files from a wide range of mobile devices. I am looking forward to migrating our mail and data off our current service – with the free service being offered by Calligo – and getting started in April.”
