Hyphen, an international architectural practice, has appointed Eva Diego as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective from January 2026. This transition is part of the firm's evolution, with Eva succeeding Eddie Miles, who will remain with the company as Chair.
Eva takes on the CEO role as Hyphen continues its work across retail, hospitality, workplace, logistics, and the growing digital infrastructure sector. With over 25 years' experience as an architect, Eva has played an important role in Hyphen's multinational expansion. She played a key role in establishing the Madrid studio and supporting the firm’s expansion across Latin America, helping to develop partnerships with technology and lifestyle brands internationally.
As CEO, Eva aims to enhance Hyphen's advisory strength, solidify client partnerships, and enhance the organisation's international architectural and digital infrastructure endeavours.
Eva Diego, CEO of Hyphen, said: “I feel privileged to be taking Hyphen into its exciting next chapter. Global demand for critical digital infrastructure is reshaping the built environment," she continued. "We act as both expert delivery partners and trusted architectural advisors for our clients, helping them to navigate complex and technically demanding projects while ensuring commercial viability."
Hyphen ranked 79th in the World Architecture 100 (2025). Throughout the recent year, the business has executed projects in 27 countries via its 11 offices, establishing itself as a partner for real estate developers, asset owners, and investors across various continents.
Notably, Hyphen's turnover has more than tripled over the last decade, alongside an expansion of its international presence. The company's revenue from overseas has consistently grown, from 46% in 2016 to approximately 63% in 2025.
Hyphen collaborates with lifestyle brands, including PVH, the owner of Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, delivering retail spaces in over 50 countries. In the domain of digital infrastructure, Hyphen provides architectural advisory services to CloudHQ on large-scale initiatives, such as a data centre campus in Querétaro, Mexico, and collaborates with Elea Data Centers on the Rio AI City masterplan, an AI-ready data centre district in Rio de Janeiro.
Eddie Miles, Chair of Hyphen, added: “Eva’s appointment reaffirms Hyphen’s ambition to become a truly international practice. She has been central to the business’s growth over many years, and I have total confidence in her leadership. My role now is to support Eva and the wider leadership team, ensuring continuity while the business continues to develop."
