Powering connectivity at British Esports National Esports Performance Campus

UK’s national esports federation names leading connectivity specialist as Preferred Networking Provider to offer the next generation of elite gamers seamless connectivity at the state of the art National Esports Performance Campus in Sunderland.

British Esports, the national body for esports in the United Kingdom, has selected CommScope’s RUCKUS Networks as its Preferred Networking Provider.

RUCKUS Networks will deploy its latest connectivity technology at British Esports’ world-class National Esports Performance Campus in Sunderland, the multi-site esports and education complex and home to the national federation.

The 45,000 sq ft campus features modern, state-of-the-art offices, contemporary classrooms, esports performance rooms, alongside luxurious residential accommodation. Boosted by an esports arena scheduled to open fully in Summer 2024, the National Esports Performance Campus is the perfect destination for esports tournaments, performance bootcamps and other gaming events, which rely on excellent connectivity to deliver a seamless, uninterrupted gaming experience.

RUCKUS Networks is deploying ICX® switches and Wi-Fi access points throughout the luxurious accommodation, comprising three grade II listed 4 storey townhouses, all fully managed in the RUCKUS SmartZone™ environment. British Esports will also benefit from RUCKUS AI™, delivering predictive analytics, automated network optimisation and network health management, helping to enhance efficiency and maintain optimal conditions for seamless connectivity and performance.

British Esports, established in 2016 as the national esports federation in the UK, promotes and nurtures future esports talent and plays a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of amateur competitive gaming throughout the UK.
