Westcon signs EMEA distribution agreement

Westcon has signed an EMEA distribution agreement with Mist Systems, a Juniper Networks company. Mist Systems, leading the transition to AI-driven IT, offers a powerful AI engine to provide full visibility and seamless automation for enterprise Wi-Fi and wired networks. Westcon is an existing distributor for Juniper Networks in EMEA.

“Juniper Mist’s advanced cloud portfolio is a great expansion of Juniper Networks’ solutions and services and can influence the way enterprises manage their wireless and wired computing environments for years to come,” states Rene Klein, Senior Vice President at Westcon Europe. “We are very excited to be a part of this journey. Our European business development experts bring a lot of experience to the table when it comes to Juniper’s portfolio and our go-to-market approach will allow us to bring significant value to this relationship. We really look forward to onboarding our channel network for this innovative AI-based solution.”

Centred around a powerful native cloud platform, Juniper Mist’s solutions help companies to manage their wired and wireless networks efficiently and dynamically and to automatically optimize many performance parameters across their network. Concise Service Level Expectations (SLE), which can be generated automatically or defined manually, enable a detailed monitoring of network status and user experience.

Juniper Mist’s cloud-based AI engine analyses user, device and application behaviour and adapts network configurations and processes according to the results. This allows organisations to dynamically optimize their network parameters, to proactively address any challenges and to successfully identify trends and anomalies. Based on an agile microservices architecture, the platform processes all analysis and changes in real time. Marvis, an integrated voice-activated network assistant for helpdesks and administrators, helps customers ensure a fast and easy onboarding.

“Juniper Networks has been one of our strongest vendor partners in EMEA for many years – with a solid foothold in the secure networking market,” explains Marianne Nickenig, Vice President Networking & Collaboration, Westcon EMEA. “With the Juniper Mist platform, they are now adding an innovative Wi-Fi solution to improve user experience, for which many of our channel partners have been waiting. We are really excited to integrate this solution with our offerings and have set up a broad set of attractive value-added services which will help our partners to ensure a smooth and successful kick-off.”

“Westcon is a long-standing value-added distribution partner worldwide,” says Sander Groot, Head of Channels, EMEA, Juniper Networks. “With an experienced team, strong standing in the market and dedication, Westcon now can also tap into Juniper Mist, which can open up exciting opportunities for our channel and our customers.”
