After running its business on Dimension Data’s managed cloud platform for the past five years, this extensive upgrade will help JT keep pace with emerging technologies and cyber threats and meet shifting client demands around data protection and sovereignty – while positioning the company as an innovative leader in digital services.

JT provides a range of world-class consumer and business enterprise services including mobile technologies, internet, security and data hosting – and has established Jersey as the first jurisdiction in the world to reach full-fibre connectivity, by completing it’s full-fibre network this year, cementing the Channel Islands as a leading player on the global business stage.

The new platform will enable JT to develop and deliver innovative cloud and managed services on both a global and local level, dramatically improving performance and flexibility and serving as a bedrock for future IoT solutions.

JT customers will have access to a fully managed cloud platform capable of delivering new infrastructure and application capabilities. They will also be able to transition applications and services into the cloud more easily, with the peace of mind that their services are securely protected.

Barna Kutvolgyi, Managing Director (CI) of JT, commented, “As a global digital services business, we provide critical infrastructure for companies in the Channel Islands and beyond. It is paramount that we are able to deliver next generation managed cloud services to enable our customers to grow and evolve their business models, while simultaneously protecting the data sovereignty benefits dedicated to local customers in the Channel Islands.  A great example can be seen in the impressive growth of eGaming businesses delivered on our Dimension Data platform in Guernsey which takes advantage of the world-leading gaming legislation of the Alderney Gambling Control Commission.”

Andrew Coulsen, Chief Executive of Dimension Data Europe said: “Following a successful five year partnership, JT’s migration to our managed cloud platform means they will not only be able to offer more innovative, scalable cloud services to their Channel Islands clients, but they will also be able to leverage the platform’s hybrid model to expand easily and cost-effectively into new geographic markets through the use of Dimension Data’s global footprint of Data Centres. This is a great example of how our combined NTT Group capabilities can help clients innovate faster and accelerate their growth”
