Tieto strengthens its cloud ecosystem

Offers customers a wider scale of cloud services.

Tieto is a leading enterprise cloud provider in the Nordics, with more than 150 cloud customers in the region. Now the company strengthens its collaboration with Microsoft to offer customers new Azure-based solutions and offerings within IoT, Analytics, DevOps, storage, disaster recovery, data platform services and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS). Tieto’s customers will be able to access all new cloud offerings through one platform, Tieto OneCloud
Tieto offers its customers the broadest and deepest cloud portfolio in the Nordic countries. Now the company continues investments into Microsoft Azure related business and offering development. The new services based on Azure solutions are part of Tieto's growing portfolio of digitalization and cloud services, one of the fastest growing areas in the company.
“Today, organizations seek to create value for customers by capitalizing on new opportunities such as Internet of Things (IoT) and data analytics, while at the same time leveraging the latest technologies to improve productivity and speed in business operations. By further deepening our collaboration with Microsoft, we can provide our customers with leading Azure-based digitalization services, helping enterprises to accelerate innovation and renew their business”, says Erwin de Bont, Vice President, Infrastructure and Platform Services, Tieto.
The collaboration is an extension of Tieto’s previous Azure commitments. In 2015, Tieto became one of the first companies globally to sign a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) agreement, enabling Tieto to sell both Azure and Microsoft Office 365 to customers.
“Tieto has been a long-time Azure partner and we’re glad to see them expand the range of services they’ll offer customers. Azure offers Tieto a secure, consistent application platform and IaaS to accelerate development of apps and services with integrated intelligence and analytics that drive positive business decisions", said Aziz Benmalek, Vice President, Worldwide Hosting and Cloud Services at Microsoft Corp.
Tieto’s Azure services are offered through Tieto OneCloud, a new multi-cloud solution allowing customers to efficiently manage multiple cloud services through one centrally managed platform. With Tieto OneCloud customers can access all the leading cloud services and ecosystems independent cloud capabilities needed without technology lock-in.
