Wrike, a leading provider of work management software as a service for enterprises, has launched a new data centre located in the Netherlands to give its European customers new options for storing their Intellectual Property (IP) and personal data outside of the US. With nearly a quarter of its customers in the UK and Europe and 30% customer growth over last year, the region is one of the fastest-growing major markets for Wrike.
Opening a data centre in Amsterdam has been a high-priority project for Wrike, undertaken in direct response to customer concerns with storing data in the US. The Amsterdam data centre is ISAE 3402 and ISO 27001 certified, and combined with Wrike's recent inclusion in the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework, represents a boost in privacy and security for its customers.

One of Wrike's customers is Porsche Austria. Chief Digital Officer and managing director at Porsche Austria, Wilfried Weitgasser, reiterates that security and privacy concerns are top of mind for enterprises in Europe when choosing vendors in the cloud: "At Porsche Austria, we have complex project management needs as well as aggressive security and data-residency requirements in place for the protection of our sensitive data," said Weitgasser. "Wrike's data centre in Europe is an important reason we were able to choose them as a strong partner for cloud collaboration.”
The new data centre will allow Wrike users to adopt cloud technology for work management with increased confidence. Additionally, customers working closer to the data centre should experience better performance because of lower network latency.

Wrike is currently rolling out data migration for a preliminary group of EU customers and the service will be available for all existing and new EU customers by Q1 2017.
