Securing cloud access for mobile users

Integrated offering gives IT full visibility and control over mobile devices, apps, and activities.

Netskope has introduced an integrated offering with VMware that enables IT departments to maintain appropriate visibility and control over their users’ mobile devices and cloud app ecosystems. This end-to-end offering affords greater flexibility to mobile and remote workforces by allowing employees to use their devices and apps of choice without sacrificing the ability of IT to monitor usage and enforce policies.

The integrated solution combines VMware Workspace™ ONE™ (powered by VMware Identity Manager™, and VMware AirWatch Enterprise Mobility Management™) and the Netskope Active Platform™ CASB solution to provide extensive visibility and control over user identity access rights and privileges across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. The solution represents the most comprehensive mobile-to-cloud solution on the market today. Specifically, the solution enables customers that want full control from mobile to cloud to:

?      Streamline the deployment of Netskope by using on-device presence from VMware AirWatch to push a CASB mobile profile for cloud app monitoring and control.

?      Govern mobile-to-cloud access by creating a unified user experience and fully secured flow from sign-on through the entire app session including app activities and content access.

?      Enforce advanced, enterprise data loss prevention (DLP) policies both in cloud apps and in the secure container on the device based on the detection of sensitive data at rest in or en route to or from cloud apps.

The Netskope Active Platform gives IT the ability to find, understand, and secure cloud apps. Only Netskope empowers organisations to gain surgical visibility and control, protect sensitive data using “noise-cancelling” enterprise cloud DLP, enable compliance in real-time, on any device, for any cloud app so the business can move fast, with confidence.

“CASB, IDaaS and EMM are complementary technologies that help IT better manage the ever-growing volume of cloud apps being used by employees all over the world,” said Sanjay Beri, founder and CEO, Netskope. “IT walks a constant tightrope between enabling productivity by letting employees use their preferred cloud apps and setting secure cloud app usage policies that mitigate security risks. This offering with VMware gives IT the ability to do just that, while maintaining end-to-end visibility and control.”

“Both IT and end-users are increasingly embracing cloud services to become more productive and to change the way work is done by leveraging modern tools,” said Sanjay Poonen, executive vice president and general manager, end-user computing and head of global marketing and communications, VMware. “The combination of EMM, IDaaS and CASB allows IT to say ‘yes’ to using these tools without compromising corporate security. Working with CASB leaders like Netskope creates solutions that our customers can use to enjoy the flexibility of mobile and cloud, while maintaining the control IT requires.”
