Proact is concluding a framework agreement with the V?stra G?taland region (VGR) concerning the supply of storage solutions for data centres. Proact has submitted tenders for this procurement procedure – which has now come to an end – for solutions which include products from EMC and Hitachi Data Systems, as well as consultancy services to be provided by the company’s own data centre specialists.

The framework agreement will remain in force until the end of October 2017, with an option of extending it by two years. VGR estimates that this framework agreement will be worth up to SEK 80 million during the period. V?sttrafik, the region’s public transport company, has also participated in the procurement procedure and has the option of concluding an agreement. Deliveries will take place following subordering, with a second competition procedure.

“It is pleasing to see that Proact’s offering proved to be so strong in such a competitive procurement procedure. Our customer team is made up of well-prepared people who are now looking forward to helping the V?stra G?taland region to develop IT support for all their operations by means of a flexible, efficient infrastructure,” says Lena Eskilsson, CEO at Proact in Sweden.

“We are also keen to continue our excellent relationship with our partners in connection with this procurement procedure – this made it possible to shape our collective offering into a winning tender.”

Proact has a strong commitment to public organisations in their efforts to develop their IT support and renew data centres with a view to implementing cloud services. Other public sector customers that have recently selected Proact include Lund University, Vattenfall, the municipality of B?stad and the Norwegian tax authorities.
