Quorum has introduced several software and program enhancements that provide growing organisations with cloud-based disaster recovery solutions, fit for the enterprise.

Disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS) is quickly expanding from small business to larger enterprise settings as a flexible and reliable alternative to traditional backup and recovery products. The Quorum onQ platform makes it easier for enterprises of all sizes to adopt DRaaS while delivering high availability (HA), comprehensive protection and simple, one-click recovery both on premises and in the cloud.

New enhancements introduced today include new hosted testing and trial download programs to ensure HA, DR and DRaaS deployment success.
“Since Quorum onQ was introduced two years ago, we have grown by more than 600 percent to protect more than 6,000 systems for 471 customers in 13 countries,” said Quorum CEO, John Newsom. “The majority of those customers are small to midsize enterprises that value the one-click simplicity and reliability of Quorum onQ DRaaS. As our customers continue to adopt cloud infrastructure we’re introducing new features and programs through trusted advisors and resellers that will help scale data protection and recovery into larger, more complex environments.”

Preparing the Enterprise for Everyday IT Disasters
New updates to Quorum onQ, a single software platform powering the company’s simple, integrated appliances and cloud-based DRaaS solutions, include:
Centralised enrollment capabilities, making it easier to deploy protection for a larger number of servers at one time
VMware vSphere 6.0 integrations including support for VMware vCenter and vMotion for agentless VM protection
Usability enhancements to speed onQ DR cloud portal performance and improve reporting capabilities
Addition of an Archive Vault Gateway, helping to reduce costs by allowing for the seamless use of existing infrastructure for archives.
Hosted Testing Environment and Free Trial Downloads
Quorum is creating a virtualised testing environment where prospective and existing customers can evaluate the onQ HA, DR and DRaaS products on a Quorum-hosted infrastructure. Testing in the Quorum virtual environment frees customers from having to use their own hardware, applications and test data. Alternately, customers can also download free trials via a virtual onQ appliance. Hosted testing is expected to be available in Q4 this year.

Available Exclusively Through Resellers
Quorum onQ appliances and cloud DR solutions are now offered completely through the company’s global network of distribution, service provider and channel partners. Existing onQ customers with current maintenance agreements can upgrade to the latest software release at no additional charge.
