Enhancing supply chain visibility

Del Monte Foods, Inc. has gone live on the GT Nexus platform to improve visibility and collaboration into the extended supply chain. A cloud-based network delivers supplier collaboration to streamline ordering processes, enables inbound-to-plant visibility, and provides a single view to manage global transportation.

Del Monte Foods, Inc. is one of the U.S.’s largest producers, distributors and marketers of premium quality, branded food products including Del Monte, Contadina, College Inn and S&W. The company also produces and distributes private label food products.

“Our enterprise supply chain strategy requires seeing well beyond the walls of our business, into the supply network,” said Mitch Hunter, director of supply chain at Del Monte Foods. “GT Nexus provided timely and effective implementation support in our conversion to SAP. They were able to maintain our coverage during a very tight transition timeline. ”

Operating on a cloud network enables Del Monte to capture a single global view of suppliers, data and movement of goods in a central hub that is viewable across internal departments and external partners.

“Consumer goods manufacturers like Del Monte are laser focused on assuring quality and on-time delivery of products by shoring up their supply chains,” said Sean Feeney, CEO of GT Nexus. “GT Nexus is able to provide a networked environment that fosters visibility into suppliers, shipments and inventory. Del Monte has the tools to know when shipments will arrive at a certain spot in the supply chain and make adjustments, if necessary, to meet customer needs.”

Del Monte went live on GT Nexus in January following a three month implementation.
