Ping Identity serves EMEA customers with Germany-based data centre

The data centre will comply with strict European policies and meet the growing demand for cloud computing across the region.

Ping Identity®, the Identity Security Company™, has announced a new data centre in Frankfurt, Germany. The new data centre will support Ping Identity’s existing Dublin data centre in servicing EMEA-based customers. "Cloud computing in EMEA is undoubtedly on the rise," said Michael Neumayr, Regional Manager at Ping Identity. "The strong manufacturing and financial services sector in the region provides a growing demand for a localised data centre."

Ping Identity’s new Frankfurt data centre meets the need for compliance with strict European data protection guidelines for data sovereignty that European customers require. Additionally, the new data centre is positioned to meet growing European demand for software-as-a-service technologies as well as cloud-based identity and access management solutions. Ping Identity’s customers can now take advantage of the benefit of Cloud infrastructure as they migrate their business applications into the cloud.

The European Commission predicts that cloud computing will add around £120billion (€160billion) to the EU’s GDP in 2020. By the end of 2015 around 70 per cent of all businesses will use cloud computing, while some 925,500 direct and indirect jobs will be created by the adoption of public and private cloud by 2016.
