ICTroom appoints sales heads in UK and Germany

Nick Brooks responsible for UK & Ireland; Heiko Schrader to serve DACH region.

ICTroom has appointed Nick Brooks as Sales Director for the UK and Ireland and Heiko Schrader as Sales Director for the DACH region (Germany, Switzerland and Austria). These staff hires, supported by new offices in London and Munich, are part of ICTroom’s European expansion as the company moves to accommodate a growing number of customer requests for its data centre offering.

“With fourteen years’ experience delivering data centres and computer rooms across Benelux, we are now looking to increase our presence in the UK and Germany to satisfy increasing demand for our scalable and cost-effective data centre solutions,” said Frank Brand, Managing Director at ICTroom. “I’m extremely pleased to add Nick and Heiko to our team, as they are two seasoned sales professionals who will be invaluable in their regions and will, ultimately, help us to achieve corporate growth.”

Nick Brooks, ICTroom’s new Sales Director for the UK and Ireland, has over 30 years’ experience in a variety of senior roles including sales management, marketing and product management with organisations such as CenturyLink (Savvis), Orange Business (Etrali), Radianz/BT Global Services, SITA and Equant.

Commenting on his new role, Brooks said, "ICTroom is an ambitious company of people with great leadership and a fantastic proposition. As part of our expansion plans, we are looking to win new business from those organisations who are now looking to move their ICT back in-house and to their own specific business needs. For me, this move represents a great new career opportunity in a vibrant market".

Heiko Schrader, ICTroom’s new Sales Director for the DACH region, has over 25 years’ experience in the IT industry, with roles including pre-sales, product marketing, marketing manager, sales manager and sales director. A strong background in IT data centre infrastructure, Schrader has previously worked at companies including Sequent (acquired by IBM in 2000), Brocade and Fusion-io (acquired by SanDisk in 2014).

Schrader said, “I’m excited to join ICTroom and to build the business in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, by replicating the company’s success in the Netherlands and Belgium. The German speaking market, with its special requirements regarding availability, security and data protection, has a real need for innovative, energy-efficient, modular data centre offerings such as ICTroom’s IMD.”
