The architecturally stunning building can now offer its audiences, staff and performers free WiFi, including full, instant access to content-rich media, thanks to leading UK WiFi expert 802 Event WiFi.
The WiFi installation at the venue in historic Horsecross, which was opened by the Queen, now covers all guest areas throughout the hall as well as restaurants, bars and backstage areas.
The system which has been put in place by 802 Event WiFi - one of the major suppliers of WiFi installations to stadia, racecourses and town centres - will allow the Concert Hall to build strong demographic data, facilitating push notification for enhanced marketing and patron engagement.
802 Event WiFi chief executive Felix Gibson said: "When users log in, they will see a promotional screen with messages and information from the Concert Hall.
"The Hall's marketing team will be able to employ user information to keep in touch with existing and potential guests and inform them by text and email about upcoming attractions and events."
In addition, he said, the installation will also enable the Concert Hall to use WiFi to control lighting and sound for productions as well as supporting its telephony and data requirements.
802 Event WiFi was called in to provide a solution when the Concert Hall was planning to host a conference for a major commercial organisation at which full WiFi capability was a fundamental requirement.
The company was able to complete the installation within a two-week window, a record time for a project of such prominence and magnitude.
Felix Gibson said: "Perth Concert Hall is a major asset to the city and to the heart of Scotland, providing classical, world and Scottish traditional music as well as many other arts and media events.
"WiFi allows concert-goers to share their experience instantly across a wide range of social media, bringing their nights out at Perth Concert Hall to a huge international audience."
The installation at Perth Concert Hall is one of the latest major projects for 802 Event WiFi, which has installed systems at Football Stadiums, Racecourses and Town Centre shopping precincts.
