F5 Networks has introduced solutions that seamlessly combine with technologies from VMware. These offerings enable customers to extend the reach and capabilities (as well as enhance the value) of joint deployments. F5 will showcase these and additional Application Delivery Controller (ADC) technologies supporting VMware solutions at this week’s VMware Partner Exchange in San Francisco.

Through collaboration with VMware, F5 has certified three critical components of its industry-leading application services portfolio on vCloud Air, VMware’s hybrid cloud. F5 is an Elite-level partner in VMware’s vCloud Air ISV Partner program. The company now offers BIG-IP® Local Traffic Manager™, Global Traffic Manager™, and Application Security Manager™ to customers in a “bring your own license” (BYOL) model via the vCloud Air Marketplace, VMware’s one-stop-shop to help customers discover, download, and deploy partner solutions that enhance and extend the functionality of vCloud implementations. Additionally, organizations can now take advantage of F5’s simplified Good, Better, Best licensing practices, bringing customers flexibility, simplicity, and a better value in choosing the right security features for their on-premises and cloud networks.

“Working closely with VMware, F5® solutions have been validated with VMware vCloud® Air™ to enable core application delivery, disaster recovery, and application security—while maintaining seamless scalability and performance in the VMware cloud,” said Ajay Patel, VP of Applications Services, vCloud Air, VMware. “F5 solutions identify highly sophisticated layer 7 attacks and stop them before reaching servers, giving IT the assurance to accelerate adoption of enterprise-grade hybrid cloud environments, such as vCloud Air.”
