Solinea and Nexenta announce an exciting new strategic partnership to revolutionise the adoption of Open Infrastructure solutions. The partnership will leverage Solinea’s proven capabilities in delivering cloud strategy, architecture, implementation, and adoption services to global enterprises, with Nexenta’s award winning portfolio of innovative SDS solutions.

Nexenta’s SDS solutions enable enterprises to create optimised storage clusters for open, agile and secure OpenStack environments that scale quickly and easily. Its flagship solution, NexentaStor, enables enterprises to build feature-rich clouds, maintain complete control of the software stack, avoid vendor lock in and significantly impact total cost of ownership (TCO). Whilst its next generation scale-out object, block and file Storage, NexentaEdge, is designed for OpenStack clouds and Big Data applications.

"Partnering with the SDS leader is the right choice for our current and future customers looking to architect and deploy an open, vendor-agnostic SDS solution on OpenStack," says Solinea CEO, Francesco Paola. “As we work with leading global enterprises and service providers to deliver scalable OpenStack solutions to drive agility into the organisation and cut infrastructure costs, some of the main driving use cases have been the massive proliferation of data – whether it’s to deploy strategic big data analytics solutions or to start replacing expensive legacy storage environments. It was important for us to work with an SDS solution provider that understands our customers’ needs, has an exceptional team, and delivers. Nexenta was the right choice.”

“Solinea’s focus is to deliver agile cloud solutions to its enterprise customers that are dealing with an unprecedented explosion of data, caused by trends including social media, mobility, Big Data and the Internet of Things,” explained Tarkan Maner, Chairman and CEO, Nexenta. “Reliable, scale-able storage is a key component of any cloud deployment. Our fully featured Software-Defined Storage deployments deliver the flexibility, simplicity and reliability needed to future-proof cloud infrastructure now and into the future.”
