Don Scott appointed Xirrus International Channel Director

Xirrus® has announced the appointment of Don Scott as International Channel Director. Don brings to Xirrus over 25 years of leadership experience in enterprise IT sales, marketing and consultancy, and the proven ability to build highly productive international partner ecosystems.

He will oversee the growth and ongoing development of the company's partner programme outside the US, and ensure that Xirrus continues to provide outstanding value and support to its international partners.

Don's experience includes leading Aruba Networks' EMEA channel organisation, where he developed and drove growth strategies across the VAD, VAR and OEM ecosystem. In his earlier enterprise networking experience, Don led teams within Nortel Networks and Avaya's Global Accounts divisions, specifically in the financial services industry with firms such as HSBC, Santander, ING, Deutsche Bank, RBS, and Citigroup.

Most recently, Don has been consulting with a number of innovative firms bringing new solutions to market within the Wi-Fi-to-mobile data integration and cloud computing sectors.

"Partners love Xirrus for three key reasons, all of which make me very excited to join the team," said Don. "First, the combination of ultra-high performance, cloud provision and management, and a seamless software-based migration to AC, is absolutely unique in the market. Second, Xirrus' reliability, ease of use and rapid deployment capabilities make our partners' customer relationships successful and profitable. Third, Xirrus' partner programme further establishes Xirrus as the best partner for WLAN solutions.

"Growing the company's partner ecosystem, and helping accelerate its already impressive international growth rate, will be a major challenge, but one that I look forward to tackling."

Shane Buckley, CEO of Xirrus, stated: "Don joining the team is a great coup for us as he brings exceptional breadth and depth of experience in growing businesses of all sizes, and successfully leading sales, marketing and channel teams. Partners are very important to us, and we're sure that Don will add huge value to them with his dedication, understanding and expertise. In doing so, he will play a key role in the next stage of our growth."
