SUSE garners industry recognition in cloud and enterprise Linux markets

SUSE receives awards for product and partner excellence.

Enterprise Linux and cloud infrastructure provider SUSE has earned recent industry accolades for product, technology and channel excellence.
“Awards don't directly solve customer problems, but as we work to solve those problems, recognition seems to follow,” said Michael Miller, SUSE vice president of global alliances and marketing. “These types of honors are a great indicator of SUSE's commitment to excellence, service and innovation, which are what we strive to deliver. Our partners and customers are a key part of any SUSE success and share in these awards.”

IaaS Solution of the Year
SUSE Cloud 2.0 was named Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) Solution of the Year at the 2013 Storage, Virtualization, Cloud (SVC) Awards. The SVC awards recognize products, projects and services as well as companies and teams operating in the cloud, virtualization and storage sectors. Angel Business Communications editorial staff chose category finalists, and SUSE Cloud was chosen the winner by a public vote.

SUSE Cloud 2.0 was judged on the basis of its key features, its impact on the market, major differentiators from other products, and its benefits to SUSE customers. The product is designed to deliver enhanced capabilities for OpenStack-based private clouds and is the most enterprise-ready private cloud platform based on OpenStack. It also offers greater scale and ease of operation, faster return on investment, and the ability to easily manage mixed hypervisor cloud environments.
