Reply S.p.A. acquires Solidsoft and strengthens its presence in UK

Reply S.p.A. strengthens its presence in UK through the purchase of 100% of the share capital of Solidsoft Ltd., a company specialised in the consultancy and development of Microsoft cloud architectures and solutions.

Solidsoft – recognized by Microsoft as Worldwide Cloud Partner Of The Year 2013 for solutions based on the Windows Azure platform – counts some major British and International groups among its clients such as Bank of Tokyo, Capita, EFPIA (European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industry Associations), HM Government, Molton Brown and Securicor.

Solidsoft’s turnover for 2013 (year ended 30 September 2013) stood at GBP 10.8 million.

The total consideration for the purchase of 100% of Solidsoft’s share capital is GBP 6.2 million, paid entirely in cash.

The acquisition of Solidsoft comes under Reply’s development strategy in Cloud Computing, currently one of the most important drivers of change for companies. A continuous and strong thrust for all segments of Cloud services, with an average annual global growth rate of 16.9% and estimated turnover at more than Euro 181 billion by 2017, is forecasted. As far as Europe is concerned, the Cloud services market is forecasted to grow from the current figure of Euro 22 billion to Euro 37 billion by 2017, an annual growth rate of more than 12.5%.

“The network – stated Reply Chairman Mario Rizzante – is increasingly evolving as a distributed information system, through which greater and greater amounts of complex data, information and contents in real time become available. This new use of the internet introduces innovative competitive models based on approaches on demand enabled by three fundamental components: software platforms, the understanding and control of processes and the management of the service”.

“Solidsoft – continues Reply Chairman Mario Rizzante – in addition to completing the Reply portfolio in the UK market, significantly strengthens our skills in Microsoft cloud, and specifically Microsoft Azure.”

“Thanks to the synergies with other Reply companies specialised in Microsoft technologies – concludes Mario Rizzante – we are able to support our customers throughout the entire value chain of Cloud Computing, providing full end to end support, from consultancy to the choice of the most suited cloud configuration required of each single company, from the design of the architecture to the implementation of the specific application solutions”.
“As part of Reply” stated Garth Pickup, CEO of Solidsoft “we expect strong synergies accelerating the services for our clients. Furthermore Solidsoft can capitalize on joining one of the leading ICT specialists in Europe. Joining the Reply network is the perfect next step for us.”

“I am delighted” - stated Steven Martin, General Manager Windows Azure, Microsoft - "that Solidsoft, Microsoft’s Cloud Partner of the Year 2013, will join the Reply network of companies. Having worked with Solidsoft on many customer engagements and Partner Advisory Councils over the years, I believe their innovation and expertise combined with Reply’s breadth will create an organization with far reaching impact. I look forward to working with Solidsoft Reply to bring the benefits of Windows Azure to an even greater customer base that this acquisition will enable."
