Interoute launches a year’s free cloud hosting for startups

Interoute Jump StartUp provides startups with free Interoute Virtual Data Centre for one year.

Interoute has announced the launch of its free Jump StartUp package which will give startups and developers access to its flexible, on-demand cloud hosting service, Interoute Virtual Data Centre (VDC), for up to a year. Interoute VDC is the only cloud service to offer free data transfer across Europe, giving startups unrestricted access to Interoute’s networked cloud computing.

Built into Interoute’s pan-European network which spans more than 60,000km of lit fibre, Interoute VDC combines the benefits of the cloud with the power of an owned network to give lightning fast performance. With Jump StartUp, developers and startups have instant access to scalable cloud storage that supports the growing demands of their business, without the need to buy, manage and maintain physical infrastructure themselves.
Interoute Jump StartUp also provides unique access to Interoute’s enterprise grade cloud computing with unrivalled provisioning and performance speeds. Users are free to experiment, innovate and create using tools and storage to a value of €1200 over 12 months.

Interoute Jump StartUp comes with access to two VDC zones (Paris and Berlin), free inbound and outbound data transfer, direct console access and live online support. The offer includes 2vCPU, 2GB RAM and 60 GB storage, enough to build a variety of different sized virtual machines with. Users can quickly and easily upgrade to Interoute’s full Virtual Data Centre offering and pay-as-you-grow pricing model if they want more.

Making the most of Interoute’s pan-European presence, Jump StartUp gives users the ability to create geographically diverse cloud ecosystems. By setting up a virtual machine in Berlin and another in Paris, developers can, for example, distribute their computing functions around the network, resulting in a faster network with more quickly available services. And because Interoute VDC comes with the network built in, users can move data between the two zones without incurring any transfer fees.

Matthew Finnie, CTO, Interoute commented “Starting a business is tough, you need every second of the day to focus on product development, sales and marketing in order to drive revenues. Startups can’t afford to worry about whether or not their virtual servers are going to let them down. So, access to reliable, scalable, lightning fast cloud computing gives them a great foundation for innovation. Interoute Jump StartUp gives a level of free access to Interoute Virtual Data Centre, providing networked cloud computing, storage and support to help startups get started.”
