Colt has announced, across Europe, the launch of Colt Cloud Storage for resellers, a new easy-to-deploy cloud-based storage solution. The new service provides Colt resellers with the ability to offer customers scalable storage, with no upfront investments. Colt Cloud Storage enables customers in any European country to store and access their data from Colt data centres in the UK, France, Spain and Germany. It offers the flexibility of adjusting storage needs as business requirements change, removing the need for upfront capital outlay on storage hardware. With a choice of plans, each with their own SLA, customers can be confident about storing their data locally and can specify the level of security required.
The service is available to order across Europe now from Colt’s go-to-market partners Arrow Electronics Inc. (through its cloud service portal ArrowSphere) and Avnet Technology Solutions. Resellers can order the new service from these distributors, and will receive an online user experience which allows them to self-manage their applications and consumption once they are provisioned. Colt Cloud Storage also gives resellers the option to provide and manage their own applications and data management services for their customers, backed by reliable cloud-based storage, allowing them to maximise the additional value they can offer to mid-sized companies, while guaranteeing a profitable and dependable solution.
Based on EMC Atmos technology, the Colt Cloud Storage service for resellers supports a wide range of applications from a variety of different technology vendors, including Symantec, EMC and Iomega.
