Intrinsic secures sought-after spot on Welsh framework

Managed services and cloud computing specialist, Intrinsic Technology, is one of only two providers to have won a coveted place on a large-scale ICT framework that will serve the public sector in Wales.

The contract win signals a big step forward for Intrinsic, reflecting the firm’s growing standing on a national scale while also demonstrating its commitment to the Welsh public sector.

The framework has been created by Flintshire County Council in a shared collaborative procurement partnership with both Denbighshire County Council and Wrexham County Borough Council, and will provide a simple legal framework offering a range of negotiated value added services. Intrinsic is one of two suppliers selected for the framework, the other being PSBA provider Logicalis.

Rather than undertaking a potentially lengthy OJEU procurement procedure, Welsh public sector organisations can utilise this framework to gain quick access to a range ofproducts and services from two of Welsh Government’s most trusted ICTproviders.

Adam Jarvis, CEO at Intrinsic Technology, commented: “It’s a great accomplishment to have won a place on this much sought after framework. As a business we’re going from strength to strength in terms of both technical skill and revenues. This win clearly demonstrates our continued progress and on-going commitment to our considerable Welsh customer base.”

Chris Guest, head of ICT and customer services at Flintshire County Council, said: “We’ve put together this framework to ensure that we are able to buy networking services from suitably qualified companies whilst ensuring best value to the organisation. In the spirit of collaboration we have ensured that this framework is available to a large number of other organisations in Wales.

“Flintshire has worked with both of the successful suppliers previously and I am confident that they can both deliver the range and quality of services we expect from key ICT providers."
