Enhancing the cabinet ecosystem

Chatsworth Products (CPI) was recently awarded a patent for a cost-effective, simplified electronic access control (EAC) product for data center cabinets. This new technology combines access control, intelligent power management and environmental monitoring into a single, integrated platform—highlighting the company’s pioneering expertise in power products and solutions for the data center.

Data centres in the heart of Europe

While the poker game that is Brexit continues, with no one quite sure of the outcome, the importance of establishing a data centre presence somewhere within mainland Europe has, perhaps, never been greater. UK organisations who wish to maintain their international ‘credibility’, alongside non-European businesses looking to establish or protect their EU credentials, need to investigate the data centre possibilities of the Euro zone.

DigiPlex data centre to heat 10,000 Stockholm households

DigiPlex, the leading Nordic data centre operator, and Stockholm Exergi (formerly Fortum Värme), the leading heating and cooling supplier of Stockholm, Sweden, have signed a large-scale heat reuse agreement. The agreement is the world’s first where an already operational data centre with an indirect evaporative air-to-air cooling solution, will be retrofitted to recover excess heat for the local district heating system. The agreement corresponds to heating up to 10,000 modern residential apartments.

A new way to cool?

Aermec UK Limited has raised the bar in chiller design with the launch of a stackable water-cooled modular chiller ideal for data centre applications.
