Pax8 partners with UK Government to strengthen AI skills nationwide

Pax8 has been named a Strategic Partner in the UK Government’s AI Skills Boost programme, which aims to provide AI training to ten million workers by 2030.

Pax8, a cloud commerce marketplace provider, has been officially named as a Strategic Partner in the UK Government’s ambitious AI Skills Boost programme. This initiative is lead by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) and aspires to equip ten million workers with AI competencies by the year 2030.

In collaboration with a group of founding partners, including the tech giant Microsoft, Pax8 aims to enhance and expand the current programme, ensuring its widespread effectiveness.

The AI Skills Boost programme offers free, industry-formulated AI courses, made accessible via the Government’s AI Skills Hub. These courses are aligned with Skills England’s AI foundations standard, and are crafted to provide individuals with the confidence to execute AI-related tasks. Skills encompass generating content, integrating AI tools into everyday workflows, and amplifying productivity.

Assuming the role of a Strategic Partner, Pax8 aims to strengthen DSIT's efforts by steering AI learning opportunities within the channel community. They seek to simultaneous share insights and adoption trends prevalent within the SMB technology ecosystem. This collaboration is in tandem with Pax8’s ongoing focus on enhancing AI capability, aid managed service providers in the transition to intelligent services, and contribute to overarching national objectives fostering economic growth.

Harald Nuij, Pax8 EMEA CEO, emphasised the company’s commitment by stating, "Our ecosystem of Managed Intelligence Providers plays a crucial role in enabling smaller businesses to adopt new technologies with confidence." His comments reflect Pax8’s position on supporting business adoption of AI technologies.

With this joint endeavour, Pax8 aims to help individuals across the UK acquire AI skills for use in a more digital workplace.
