Cohesity and Google Cloud join forces

Cohesity enhances its relationship with Google Cloud to offer integrated AI, cybersecurity, and data solutions, driving security and transformation for enterprises.

Cohesity has broadened its collaboration with Google Cloud, aiming to provide integrated solutions across artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and data protection. This enhanced partnership seeks to bolster cyber resilience while ensuring sensitive information remains secure, compliant, and sovereign.

By leveraging Google's AI and security innovations, Cohesity aims to not only meet current challenges but also lay groundwork for a secure digital era. Organisations can now harness Google's Gemini models, integrating them with Cohesity's enterprise AI assistant, Gaia, for cloud and on-premises applications. Employees can extract insights from unstructured data using natural language search capabilities.

Moreover, Cohesity plans to intertwine Google's Vertex AI Search with its Gaia platform. This integration is designed to provide timely, grounded answers to structured inquiries, drawing citations from source files contained in Cohesity's immutable, AI-ready data lake. Strengthening cybersecurity remains at the core of this alliance. The Cohesity Data Cloud platform, incorporating Google Threat Intelligence, equips customers with the necessary tools to detect and counter modern threats. This collaboration allows reliable clean cyber recoveries by integrating proactive threat hunting within the Cohesity framework.

Cohesity CERT (Cyber Event Response Team) joins forces with Google Cloud's Mandiant Incident Response team to assist joint clients in seamless recovery from disruptive cyber incidents. Additionally, the integration with Google Security Operations intends to automate workflows, reducing threat response times.

In terms of digital sovereignty, enterprises are increasingly seeking solutions combining resilience with local governance. Google has certified Cohesity as a official Google Cloud Ready partner for Regulated & Sovereignty Solutions. Cohesity’s FortKnox vault creates immutable, isolated copies within specified geographic locales, bolstered by policy-based controls to ensure compliance and sovereignty.

The fortified partnership extends to data protection through Cohesity DataProtect, enabling comprehensive protection of vital services like Google Compute Engine and Google Cloud Storage, with backups secured in Google Cloud. Expanded support for GKE, BigQuery, and more improves flexibility for evolving resilience needs.

This strategic collaboration paves the way for further innovation, supported by joint marketing initiatives and integrated business strategies, thereby unlocking substantial potential in AI-driven business transformation.
