Cameron Thompson takes the helm as Head of Utilities, tasked with the overarching responsibility of enhancing support for both existing and new clients within critical infrastructure sectors. Joining BCS earlier this year as a Team Lead, Cameron's expansive experience includes senior roles at Ethical Power and Cast Consultancy.
The ascendancy of sustainable and accessible power is paramount, especially with AI integration within the sector. Cameron will oversee several new service implementations:
- Feasibility studies for developments and planning applications.
- Power procurement strategies.
- Support for Gate power applications.
- Advisory services on connections reform.
- Implementation of creative alternatives to bypass grid constraints, including solar, BESS, hydrogen, and gas solutions.
Cameron and his team remain committed to strategies that deliver cost efficiencies and savings. Their expertise spans specialist advice on utilities such as power, water, gas, drainage, telecom services, and district heating. Integral components include commercial modelling, navigating legislative and regulatory terrains, and technical capacity considerations, with a notable focus on sustainability and decarbonisation.
