Canon UK launches new data centre for uniFLOW Online

Canon UK announces the launch of a new UK data centre for uniFLOW Online, one of the world’s most advanced cloud-based print and scan management applications.

Recently, there has been an increasing requirement from many organisations within the UK to look at how and where their data is stored. In order to support these requests, and to safeguard against any possible data sovereignty issues, Canon UK has established a new UK data centre for uniFLOW Online.

With data held in a UK Microsoft Azure platform, all the processing for operations as well as all print jobs and customer information will be held within the jurisdiction of the UK. This ensures that the uniFLOW Online service and the businesses using it will be able to future-proof against any regulatory changes.

Joseph Courts, Head of Product Marketing, Canon UK said, “We’ve recognised an increasing desire from organisations to have their data held in the UK. With this in mind, we’ve established a UK data centre for uniFLOW Online that will maintain all the features and benefits of the existing offer with no additional cost, no change in speed and no loss of functionality.”

Through newly regionalised hosting with Microsoft Azure, customers will benefit from maximum security and protection of their confidential data.
