Voxility launches in Spain

The expansion enables Voxility to deliver Infrastructure-as-a-Service and enhanced distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) mitigation services to local and regional networks.

Voxility, an international Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) provider, has launched operations in Spain to expand its European footprint and serve growing demand for secure Internet infrastructure. The launch coincides with the deployment of a point-of-presence (PoP) in Madrid with Interxion, a leading provider of carrier and cloud-neutral colocation data centre services in Europe.

Voxility’s presence in Madrid provides a strategic hub for customers in Spain and is part of the company’s expansion strategy that is focused on bringing high performance and low-latency services closer to local markets. The PoP in Interxion’s Madrid data centre provides customers with a secure, reliable and scalable centre for seamlessly growing their IT infrastructure, taking advantage of Voxility’s direct interconnection with the main residential Telcos in the region such as Telefonica or Orange España.

Our launch in Spain is part of our continuing growth strategy across the most interconnected Internet hubs worldwide and we are now happy to facilitate access to new network capabilities and optimised performance for local Spanish networks. Madrid has emerged as an axis for the Iberian Peninsula, but also North Africa and South America,” said Marian Petrescu, General Manager at Voxility. “Our existing customers in Madrid benefit from secure Internet infrastructure that combines the flexibility and scalability of the cloud with greater levels of control and transparency in their IT infrastructure. Nonetheless, we are now able to provide local connections for DDoS scrubbing services, offering no delay for latency-sensitive sectors like gaming, video streaming and online trading.”

Voxility’s global platform enables telecommunication companies, data centres, cloud services and hosting providers to build any type of secure cloud service. Customers benefit from rapid access to hardware, network, data centre, and security services from a single platform, while benefiting from the efficiency of a model driven by capital expenditure (CapEx).

We are excited to welcome Voxility to our Madrid Data Centre campus and support its growth in Spain. Voxility joins a diverse IP ecosystem of more than 90 carriers, internet service providers and content delivery networks. Our campus operates on a 100% renewable energy and is a gateway to both North Africa and Latin America” said Robert Assink, Managing Director at Interxion Spain. “Together, we are supporting the growth of flexible and fluid IT infrastructure locally in Madrid and across Spain contributing to make Madrid the digital hub of Southern Europe.”
