CBRE helps Hub gain approval

European Data Hub (EDH) has been awarded an Uptime Institute Management and Operations (M&O) Stamp of Approval for its Luxembourg Data Centre. As the provider of critical data centre facilities and maintenance management for EDH, CBRE Data Centre Solutions (DCS) has achieved 100% uptime for EDH’s data centre for over 10 years.

The Uptime Institute M&O Stamp of Approval provides a holistic assessment confirming a data centre meets a set of benchmarks that promote market-effective best practices across maintenance and operations activities — aligned with business objectives of risk reduction, reduced downtime and operational efficiency. The award certifies that EDH’s data centre conforms to practices that deliver greater operational effectiveness and optimizes uptime.

“This Uptime Institute M&O Stamp of Approval award validates that our staff, risk management program and infrastructure are performing at a world-class level,” said Patrice Roy, EDH Chief Operating Officer. “We are extremely proud to provide our customers with leading reliability and uptime.”

"We have collaborated with EDH for a number of years to achieve this highly-respected Uptime Institute accreditation,” said Mike Doolan, CBRE DCS Chief Reliability Officer. “Together, we can say that we have the right people and processes in place to run one of the most innovative and critical environments in all of Benelux.”

Earlier this year, CBRE DCS formed a strategic alliance with Uptime Institute to facilitate the award program to its critical facilities management customers. CBRE customers are given the option of having their data centre operations independently assessed by Uptime Institute experts at both the site and portfolio level. CBRE’s offering incorporates its leading Critical Environment Risk Management (CERMTM) program, which includes a comprehensive suite of tools, procedures, and technology applications identified as having the highest impact on reducing risk and increasing uptime.

“Achieving the M&O Stamp of Approval at EDH illustrates the company’s commitment to operational excellence,” said Christopher Brown, Chief Technical Officer, Uptime Institute. “EDH stands amongst elite companies as one of the leaders in data centre operational excellence and best practices. We congratulate the entire team for receiving the M&O Stamp of Approval at its Luxembourg data centre.
