Elmec and Qumulo join forces

Italian VAR and service provider, Elmec, selected Qumulo’s file storage to serve the rapidly evolving needs of its enterprise clients.

Elmec, an Italian managed services company specialising in IT solutions, has selected Qumulo’s file storage to serve the rapidly evolving needs of its enterprise clients.

The value-added reseller and service provider chose Qumulo’s hybrid cloud file storage based on its innovation and technology portfolio, replacing part of Elmec’s legacy storage solution with Qumulo software. Founded in 1971 and based in Brunello, Italy, Elmec supplies, designs, implements and manages IT infrastructure, networks and workstations for more than 1,500 companies throughout Italy and the Ticino region of Switzerland. Through a shared partnership with HPE, Elmec identified Qumulo as a key innovator in the data storage market.

“Our clients have trusted Elmec as an authority on IT solutions for over 45 years because of our relationships with innovative infrastructure providers that can meet their data storage needs both today and into the future as their needs evolve,” said Enrico Boselli, Competence Center Manager at Elmec. “Enterprise data volumes are growing exponentially, sometimes into the millions or billions of files, and Qumulo’s software-defined technology not only provides our clients with the capacity and performance required, but also with real-time visibility and insight into their data.”

“Qumulo’s partnership with HPE offers a guarantee of infrastructure functionality, both in terms of reliability and maintenance. For customers with large amounts of data, in need of high performance and reasonable cost, Qumulo’s hybrid cloud file storage software is a great fit. The combination is a reliable and economical value-add,” said Boselli.

With a shared vision of making technology simple and accessible for customers, Qumulo’s partnership with Elmec will allow both companies to offer unparalleled value to the Italian and Swiss markets. In particular, Qumulo’s frequent software release cycle, which ensures continued improvement and value to customers, and the company’s broadening technology integrations, will continue to bolster the partnership in the coming years.

“Discerning service providers like Elmec are always looking for trusted, innovative products that can offer greater value to their customers. At Qumulo, we were proud to be selected a partner and provide Elmec and its clients with an elegant, simple-to-use solution that helps them gain control and visibility into their data,” said Thore Rabe, Vice President and General Manager of EMEA for Qumulo.
