Tech Data has announced an agreement with Malwarebytes™, the leading advanced endpoint protection and remediation solution, to offer scalable and efficient security solutions to Tech Data customers across Europe.

Through this agreement, Tech Data will offer Malwarebytes’ cyber security solution Endpoint Protection and Response, which enables comprehensive protection for Windows and Mac devices. According to a global study by the Ponemon Institute, the mean time to identify a data breach is 191 days; the faster a breach can be identified and contained, the lower the cost. Malwarebytes’ Endpoint Protection and Response addresses this challenge by allowing customers to determine the frequency of cyber threat scans to accelerate threat detection.

David Ellis, vice president, Security and Mobility Solutions, Europe at Tech Data, said: “Malwarebytes’ highly intuitive cybersecurity offering simplifies endpoint monitoring, detection and remediation. It integrates with existing antivirus products, and the company’s hacker mentality gives their product an innovative edge to keep pace with ever-changing cybersecurity threats. We look forward to extending the reach of Malwarebytes’ solution across our channel partner community in Europe.”

Malwarebytes integrates multiple protection layers with detection and response capabilities for seamless deployment across organisations, providing enhanced visibility and insight into a business’s threat landscape.

Anthony O’Mara, vice president, EMEA Sales at Malwarebytes explained: “Traditional solutions don’t identify threats until after they are detected, slowing the course of business. Our Endpoint Protection and Response solution detects and blocks threats before they hit, while also providing critical features to recover in the event of an infection. Partnering with Tech Data will enable our channel partners and their customers to access a high-quality security solution that simplifies their security operations.”

Tech Data will launch a series of in-country enablement activities leveraging the organisation’s Practice Builder methodology and digital platforms incorporating Malwarebytes’ offering alongside the distributor’s extensive end-to-end portfolio of products, solutions and services.

Through this agreement, Malwarebytes products will become available to Tech Data’s customers across all of Europe during the course of April 2019.
