Managed Services Summit speaker's book selected by FT as "book of the month"

Igor Pejic’s important new book on blockchain, which is being given free to those attending the Managed Services Summit in Amsterdam on May 23, has been selected as a book of the month by the FT

The event aims to provide strategic guidance to managed services providers and partners in that sector. Which is why Igor Pejic from BNP Paribas PF AT, part of Europe’s largest banking group, will talk about blockchain and its role in financial services and the services the IT industry offers as revealed in his new book, Blockchain Babel.

IT Europa says this book is essential reading if you want to understand the nature of the technology, and importantly, how it fits into the market. If you are involved in security as part of your channel strategy, and if your customers are asking about blockchain, you need to read this. And because we think this is such an important message in the overall context of security, those attending the event will be offered a free copy.

Importantly, Blockchain Babel reveals how Google, Amazon and other data giants could use blockchain to try to break into financial services; it uses systematic research and strategic analysis to fill the current void between speculation and overly complex explanation of blockchain. The IT channel needs to appreciate just how big a change this will mean for most of their customers, not just those in financial services.

And the implications for the future of financial institutions are profound. It cuts through the jargon and applies management theory to create a highly engaging and actionable guide for non-technical readers.

Igor Pejic, who wrote the book after being voted by the FT and McKinsey as one of the three finalists for the Bracken Bower Prize because of his work on Blockchain. He will present his thoughts at the Managed Services and Hosting Summit 2019, to be held at the Novotel, Amsterdam City on May 23.
