maincubes commissions Amsterdam data suites

maincubes has commissioned two large ‘wholesale’ suites at its recently opened data center in the Amsterdam area in the Netherlands – a 47,361 sq. ft. (4,400 sq. meter) facility totaling 4.7MW of IT power. maincubes has a 11,840 sq. ft. (1,100 sq. meter) private data center suite available with a capacity of 1.7MW. The other private suite being offered in Amsterdam counts 9,687 sq. ft. (900 sq. meter) and is able to support 1.3MW.

The two newly commissioned private suites at maincubes’ Amsterdam AMS01 data center feature a systematic German engineering design. These ‘wholesale’ suites are being offered ‘turnkey’ though fully customizable, allowing for business autonomy and maximum levels of security and IT control.

The 11,840 sq. ft. and 9,687 sq. ft. private data center suites are aimed at Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) providers, Over-The-Top (OTT) Media Service Providers, technology startups/scale-ups and enterprise organizations alike wishing to establish or expand their European data center presence in the Amsterdam metropolitan area – one of the largest Internet hubs in the world.

‘Made-in-Germany’

Part of a hybrid retail and wholesale colocation offering at maincubes’ Amsterdam AMS01 data center, the two private data center suites commissioned today have access to a wide variety of ‘made-in-Germany’ amenities onsite including: 100% power and cooling uptime SLAs (Service Level Agreements) for all colocation services delivered; high network redundancy options with an extensive number of global network providers available; multi-level operational security measures deployed according to German security standards; data protection contracts meeting EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) guidelines; 24/7 security personnel onsite; as well as access to the company’s secureexchange.

The German data center engineering principles deployed into the maincubes Amsterdam AMS1 data center, as well as the facility’s standardized operational processes and procedures, are embedded in the company’s history, stated maincubes CEO Olivier Menzel. “The construction and engineering history of our parent company Zech Group goes back more than 100 years, the result of which can be found in maincubes’ rock-solid data center designs and operations,” said Mr. Menzel. “Our rock-solid approach also indicates far-reaching flexibility and freedom of choice for our customers. Backed by innovative, proprietary software we’re able to create individual and highly customized data center solutions. maincubes’ secureexchange marketplace available onsite in Amsterdam is another example of our ability to deploy flexible data center infrastructure, as it provides our colocation customers with a resilient and secured connectivity and services ecosystem allowing for cost and operational efficiency optimizations.”

“As Amsterdam is one of the busiest data center hubs in the world, there’s not that much data center space available in this region currently, at least not instantly and definitely not a private suite setup with the level of flexibility that we are able to offer,” said Joris te Lintelo, Director International Business Development at maincubes the Netherlands. “For CSPs, MSPs, ISVs and others planning to establish or expand their Amsterdam area data center presence, these large suites provide them with the opportunity to deploy a cost-effective and operational efficient alternative for setting up their own data center infrastructure.”
