The County of San Mateo simplifies Hybrid Cloud Data Management

The County of San Mateo has selected the Commvault HyperScale™ Appliance to help replace its legacy data management infrastructure. The Commvault HyperScale Appliance is a turnkey, scale-out data protection solution that tightly integrates compute, storage, backup and recovery, full data lifecycle management, reporting, and analytics into a single platform. The County of San Mateo will deploy multiple Commvault HyperScale Appliances to simplify data management in its hybrid cloud environment and secure the resiliency and flexibility it needs to accelerate the implementation of itsOpen San Mateo County government project,public Wi-Fi project, and other smart city digital transformation initiatives.  In doing so, the County becomes the first public sector agency globally to deploy modern, scale–out data protection solutions leveraging Commvault HyperScale™ Technology.

For example, the Open San Mateo County project features a County Shared Vision 2025 dashboard, providing residents with up-to-date data and statistics on the County’s progress in realising various community goals related to crime, homelessness, greenhouse gas emissions, resident life expectancy, students’ reading proficiency, student graduation rates, and more.
