These servers are primarily positioned to build the Huawei intelligent cloud hardware platform, Atlas, and highlight a significant achievement Huawei has made in actualizing its Boundless Computing strategy. Boundless Computing pushes the boundaries traditionally confined to general purpose CPUs and enables heterogeneous acceleration for a computing efficiency boost.

Huawei will also launch GPU-accelerated cloud services based on the G series heterogeneous computing platform and NVIDIA® Tesla® P100 and Tesla P4 products. This delivers an intelligent cloud platform with training and inference acceleration capabilities for customers.

"Today's enterprise service applications are rapidly evolving, and the types of workloads are also diversifying. These pose tremendous challenges on the efficiency and flexibility of computing platforms. With the G Series heterogeneous computing platform, we can help our customers better meet these challenges," said Qiu Long, President, IT Server Product Line, Huawei. "Huawei is happy to join forces with NVIDIA for comprehensive, deep collaboration in the AI computing front. We believe that both parties' innovation power will translate into powerful GPU Accelerated Datacenter platforms to help our customers travel more smoothly and swiftly in the digital transformation journey."
William Shen, Vice President and General Manager of Enterprise at NVIDIA China said, "NVIDIA is committed to helping its customers accelerate their breakthrough innovations in AI and high-performance computing. NVIDIA’s deep learning computing platform provides strong support for Huawei’s GPU-accelerated industry solutions, giving users a head start in this fast-growing market with increasingly fierce industry competition."

The Huawei G series is engineered with innovative hardware architecture and heterogeneous resource pooling capabilities. It allows computing resources to be intelligently orchestrated based on application workloads, thereby enabling users to derive higher computing efficiency. FusionServer G5500 meanwhile is a heterogeneous server with a focus on data center deployment. It accommodates eight Tesla P100 GPU accelerators in a 4U chassis, and is compatible with the soon-to-be-released Tesla V100. The powerful GPU acceleration capabilities enable the server to effortlessly process several hundred billion data records within milliseconds. FusionServer G2500 is a smart video analytics server positioned for application scenarios such as safe city and smart transportation. It supports 16 Tesla P4 GPU accelerators and 24 3.5-inch hard drives in a 4U chassis, meeting requirements on inference, analysis, and data storage for high-definition video streaming of 256 channels.
