BMC has introduced new enterprise-grade benefits to the Remedyforce solution that bring an agile approach to managing and delivering IT, especially for mid-market companies looking to gain a competitive edge as they digitally transform.

Built on the Salesforce Platform, Remedyforce now supports Salesforce Shield Platform Encryption with Bring Your Own Encryption Key (BYOK) capability. In addition to providing integrated encryption of data at rest, this new service allows customers to generate and supply their own tenant secret to derive encryption keys, giving them increased ownership of data security.

According to a 2017 report from Forbes Insights and BMC, 69 percent of senior executives say digital transformation is forcing fundamental changes to security strategies. The new features in the Remedyforce Summer 17 solution allows mid-market organisations to comply with privacy policies, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations for handling private, sensitive, and proprietary data.

“Security and compliance are top of mind for many organisations, particularly as the rapid expansion of multi-cloud environments has broadened the potential attack surface,” said Nayaki Nayyar, President, Digital Service Management at BMC. “These concerns impact organisations of all sizes at various points in their digital transformation journeys, including smaller companies who shouldn’t have to sacrifice security because of limited budgets and resources. To address those concerns, BMC’s Remedyforce Summer 17 release now delivers access to key enterprise-grade features that provide robust security-as-a-service at a price suited to the mid-market.”

The Remedyforce Summer 17 solution combines the core elements of IT Service Management with cloud delivery, leveraging the Salesforce Platform. With a mobile-first design, intuitive user experiences, and aligned process automation, Remedyforce delivers service management with a rapid return on investment and a low Total Cost of Ownership, ideal for mid-market companies.

The Remedyforce Summer 17 release also delivers new capabilities for configuration management database (CMDB) reconciliation, enhanced self-service IT features, and an improved user experience for businesses and customers. New configurable rules allow customers to merge assets and configuration items (CIs) from multiple discovery sources to obtain accurate pictures of their technology environment. Self-service has been enhanced to simplify communication between customers and IT staff.  New additions to the Activity Feed feature of the Remedyforce Console make IT staff more efficient at solving customer issues.
