Zenium announces London Two

Zenium has completed the purchase of Infinity’s Stockley Park data center.  The assets, employees and customers of the data centre have also transferred to Zenium as part of the agreed transaction. This will be the sixth data center announced by Zenium in less than two years.

This strategic acquisition strengthens Zenium’s UK position and becomes the second west London facility to be added to the Zenium portfolio, further cementing Zenium’s commitment to the UK data center market.

Branded London Two, the data center delivers 13.62 MW of IT load to 7,135 sq m of world-class technical space across two floors with Active / Active 11 kV dual redundant power supplies. Its location makes it appealing to cloud providers looking for proven data center partners in the UK, whilst its carrier neutrality and diverse direct fibre connections from multiple providers into central London and mainland Europe meet increasingly high operational expectations.

“The key to staying at the forefront of any sector is to be able to move quickly; responding effectively to business opportunities that arise.  This is exactly what we have done here,” said Franek Sodzawiczny, Founder and CEO at Zenium.  “We operate in a fast moving environment so we need to be agile.  We invest a lot of time in this space talking to partners, consultants, competitors and other data center experts, in order to share learnings. Most importantly this also enables us to make the right decisions to propel us forward.  We see the UK as an important market and will continue to build our data center portfolio here as and when the right opportunities are identified.”

Built over two floors, London Two will offer highly resilient, concurrently maintainable power and cooling to Tier III+, ultra-low PUE through the use of chillers and adiabatic cooling, multi-layer industry leading levels of physical and electronic security. On-site support will be delivered by Zenium’s in-house facilities management and security teams around the clock 24x7x365.

Zenium will continue to support the existing global telecoms tenant on the ground floor, whilst further space designed and constructed by Zenium will provide 4,016 sq m of fully customisable technical space with 9.32 MW of IT load on the first floor. The new data space will be available in Q3 2017.
