Bluprint breaks the Cloud barrier

The time it takes for public sector organisations to get up and running in Microsoft Azure has been slashed from weeks to just hours after the company unveiled a blueprint that reinforces its cloud security principles.

While Azure already meets all the recommendations in the guidance, which aims to ensure cloud computing and the data in it are safe and secure, Microsoft’s blueprint reinforces that position, making it easier and quicker for organisations to start storing large amounts of information online. It also helps customers understand how they may implement safeguards to meet the requirements of each principle where they hold a responsibility.

A UK Official template also been released on GitHub providing a foundation for customers to quickly create workloads in Microsoft Azure. This template delivers a secure hybrid environment that extends an on-premises network to Azure, allowing web-based workloads to be accessed securely by corporate users or from the internet.

Microsoft has also unveiled Service Bus Premium Messaging, an efficient and high-performance communication tool for the cloud that is now available in its UK data centres. It addresses common customer requests around scale, performance and availability for critical applications.

Organisations can sign up to Azure to transform how they work, whilst knowing that their data is secure and available across a range of scenarios.”
