APC by Schneider Electric appoints Andy Connor to Lead UK Channel Business

With an experienced, diverse IT and Technology background, and a reputation for delivering outstanding results, Connor’s new focus is to reinvigorate the Channel and drive revenue growth for partners.

APC, a flagship brand of Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management and industrial automation, hasappointed Andy Connor as Channel Director, UK.

With a proven track record that spans 20 years in Technology Sales, Marketing, Channel Leadership, Management and Distribution, Andy Connor’s outstanding reputation for delivering results and business growth precedes him.

His previous roles include Senior UK and European leadership positions at CMS Distribution, Lenovo and Iomega (EMC), all with a focus on developing enterprise sales teams, maintaining vendor relationships and creating strategic alliances that maximise opportunities and growth within the Channel.

Speaking about the new role Andy Connor said, “I’m delighted to have been selected to lead APC by Schneider Electric’s Channel Business. We have an amazing team, a fantastic brand and a strong presence within the Channel. One thing that has remained consistent is that partnership has and always will be key to APC’s success. Now is the time to refocus on our partners and provide them with training, support and guidance as the market continues to adapt.

He continued, “Consumer technology, the IoT, proliferation of data and surge in connected devices are accelerating business growth at a rapid speed. In turn, this has seen the market change in trend towards more Cloud and service based business models. To stay ahead of the curve we must help our partners adapt and identify these new opportunities, the real key to that is through nurturing and training.”

In 2015 APC revamped their global Channel Partner Programme which offers partners more flexibility, increased opportunities and training to identify market changes on which they can capitalise. In addition, the company has recently launched an MSP Partner Programme, primarily aimed at enabling Managed Service Providers to drive recurring revenue, business growth and success from critical Power and Cooling services.

Speaking about the new MSP Partner Programme Andy said, “This Programme presents a fantastic growth opportunity to partners who are willing to train and identify service revenue from critical Power and Cooling solutions. Data, connectivity and latency present many challenges for todays always-on businesses.”

“This new addition to our Channel Partner Programme will enable MSP’s to broaden their service offering and provide critical-reliabiliity for customers, anytime and anywhere.”

“We’re incredibly pleased to have named Andy as the Channel Director for the UK.” said Arun Shenoy, Vice President, IT Division, Schneider Electric, UK. “With an outstanding reputation and expertise in both Vendor and Distribution sales, Andy is perfectly placed to lead the APC by Schneider Electric Channel business into a new period of growth and success.”
