Scality and Cisco offer a petabyte-scale storage solution that provides the optimal level of reliability and performance for mission-critical production environments. And because the Scality RING can run on any standard x86 servers powered by Linux, customers have the option to deploy Scality’s hardware agnostic RING software on any of Cisco’s UCS® servers to create a flexible, customisable, and always-available storage environment. The Cisco UCS C-Series delivers unified computing in an industry-standard form factor to increase agility and reduce total cost of ownership, while Scality’s software enables a dynamic infrastructure that allows Enterprises and Service Providers to maximise the value of the hardware they use, and efficiently scale to their storage needs. As part of the interoperability testing required to receive Cisco’s Preferred Partner status Scality focused on the UCS C240, C3160, and C3260 server models.
“Cisco’s strong networking background and growing presence in the server market made the company an attractive partner for Scality. Our enterprise customers now have the flexibility to deploy our RING software on any Cisco server they choose, with the support of a trusted hardware provider,” said Erwan Menard, President and COO of Scality. “Together with Cisco, we are driving enterprise adoption of a scalable, reliable storage solution to support the backbone of the digital economy.”
